This workshop will be an intimate and soul nourishing exploration of the inner dimensions of yoga practice.
This is your invitation to slow down, tune in and rediscover the connection between energy, breath and mind. Through accessible grounding practices you will awaken innate and natural intelligence and deepen your embodied awareness - no advanced poses or experience required.
Whether you are new to yoga or a seasoned practitioner, this workshop will support you in finding, clarity, inspiration and confidence in the subtle processes of the deeper dimensions of yoga practice.

​We begin with an exploration of how gravity can assist us in grounding our asana practice. Finding ground is foundational for releasing the spine and breath from habitual self contraction and opens the way for uncovering the natural self-organising dynamics of energy in the body. When our energy is grounded, open and clear, the subtler aspects of practice become available..
​Pranayama is an intimate exploration of the subtle dynamics of our inner lives. We are not simply breathing with Pranayama practice, we are cultivating a refined capacity for feeling and an exquisite sensitivity to the responsive intelligence of life. When the spine and breath are free of habitual self contraction, so is the mind.

ABOUT PAUL WOODEN
Paul Wooden has been practicing and studying yoga and meditation for 40 years and teaching for 35 years.
He draws from his experience in many different styles and traditions and, through a practical understanding of their underlying unifying principles, weaves together a cohesive and integrated approach to yoga.
Working with Paul is an invitation to the deeper dimensions of practice. His particular way of working opens us to the sensitivity and receptivity necessary for the subtler inner practices.
Paul’s approach offers rich learning possibilities, whether students are beginners or highly experienced practitioners.
He complements studies of the wisdom traditions with a more contemporary understanding of the human condition including developmental psychology and integral theory and trauma work (somatic experiencing) which seeks to help uncover and release the binding patterns of trauma in the body.
